Install Lightscribe Software for AMD64 Ubuntu (Hardy Heron - 8.04)

  1. sudo apt-get install ia32-libs
  2. Download system software: http://www.lightscribe.com/downloadSection/linux/index.aspx?id=814
  3. Download LaCie 4L software: http://www.lacie.com/us/support/drivers/driver.htm?id=10094
  4. sudo alien -t lightscribe-1.XX.XX.X-linux-2.6-intel.deb
  5. sudo alien -t 4L-1.0-r6.i586.rpm
  6. sudo alien lightscribe-1.XX.XX.X.tgz
  7. sudo alien 4L-1.0.tgz
  8. sudo dpkg -i lightscribe_1.XX.XX.X-X_all.deb
  9. sudo dpkg -i 4l_1.0-2_all.deb
  10. To run the app: 4L-gui
